His journey led him to Northern Colorado, where he shared his knowledge through guiding horseback tours in the mountains. In 2005, Ken read a book called, "Hope Rising: Stories from the Ranch of Rescued Dreams." This compelling narrative ignited a new dream—merging his two great passions: people and the healing power of horses. The realization of this dream took shape in 2006 when Hope Ranch came to life on a rented farm with a single horse and an abundance of hope. It was during an interview for Hope Ranch that first year that Ken met his now wife, Cathy, who has since become a driving force behind the program, contributing significantly to its growth and success.
