Therapeutic Riding in Manhattan

Manhattan is the original location where Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center got it’s start in 2006. It has grown into flourishing program that has stayed true to its mission. Individuals with all abilities are invited to apply.

Our Therapy Program

Why therapeutic riding?

We provide an environment that promotes growth for all types of individuals. Riders can participate in positive interactions with instructors, volunteers, and other riders. They form tight bonds with the horses as they learn the ins and outs of horsemanship.

How does it work?

Lessons are an hour long, that includes tacking up and untacking the horses with about 30 minutes of ride time. Riders typically take one lesson a week, at the same time each week, for the duration of a session. Sessions are 10-14 weeks long following the academic calendar.

How do I get started?

The New Participant Application can be found on the bottom of this page. Complete the application and our staff will set up a New Rider Evaluation with you. Please fill out an application before trying to set up an evaluation. Financial Aid is available as well, so let’s ride!
