From Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center to Hope Ranch, Inc. Our Story
Expanding our Reach
In 2006, a dream became a reality when Ken Scroggs and his 10-year-old daughter, Kassidy, opened the doors to Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center in Manhattan, KS. The program started in a rented facility but has grown into a flourishing program in a 30,000 sq. ft. indoor arena on 35 acres in Riley County, Kansas. Kassidy sat on the Board of Directors and worked on details of the program as a young girl. In 2016, she took over as Program Coordinator and has not looked back since.
It is in the hearts of the Founder and Board of Directors to offer a place of safety, peace, and learning to the individuals in our programs. When the opportunity to provide a camp experience as well as therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities arose, it was far too important to dismiss.
In August of 2018, Hope Ranch, Inc. purchased the Daisy Hindman Girl Scout Camp in Topeka, KS. Mission Creek Camp had its first summer season in 2019, and Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center – Topeka will be up and running in the summer of 2020.
Hope will always find a way. Don’t give up.
