Wrangler - Level four combines all previous levels and adds trail riding components such as trail safety and etiquette, handling a "spook" emergency procedures, water and log crossings, and environmental kindness.
Cowboy - Level five combines all previous levels and for those fourteen and over, offers our Junior Leader Program. This is a highly comprehensive program that challenges participants to grow in horsemanship, leadership, organization, faith, and volunteering. This program takes at least two years to complete, but the true value is expressed in how much these young leaders love, encourage, and support the disadvantaged kids around them. They become bright lights within their world.
Trail Boss - Level six combines all previous levels and participants must take a college level veterinary horse care class. Each participant must be able to evaluate hydration factors, make accurate gait analysis, perform equine first aid, including vaccinations, evaluate metabolic changes, and personally be able to run four miles.
HR Leader - Level seven combines levels one through six and is available for participants who are eighteen and older. Senior leadership is offered to each participant as a culmination of all previous levels. This is a volunteer or could be a fully paid staff position, where participants now give back out of all that has been given to them. In one sense, it is the finish of the seven level program. Yet, it is even more the start of the circle of love that drew them to the ranch in the beginning. The graduates become part of the senior staff, which, in turn, makes the ranch a success in the hearts of children who seek healing. Level Seven participants have the option of joining the Endurance Racing Team or the Horse Show Team as a benefit to their completion of the program. |
